- KDI – Transparency International: Fighting Corruption Through Creativity
At Nomad Consulting Group, we believe that meaningful change often starts with awareness. This is why we were honored to work with the Kosovo Democratic Institute – the local branch of Transparency International – on a project that aims to strengthen integrity and fight corruption in public and governmental institutions across Kosovo.
The initiative, known as the National Integrity System (NIS), is a key part of Transparency International’s mission to build accountable, transparent, and corruption-free governance. Our role was to bring this vision to life through a powerful animated video that communicates the core principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability in a clear, engaging, and relatable way.
A Creative Approach to a Serious Challenge
Corruption is not just a political issue – it’s a social and economic challenge that touches people’s daily lives. To address this, we worked closely with our client to translate complex concepts into a visual language that is both impactful and easy to understand.
Our animation used storytelling to highlight how institutions, from local government to the judiciary, play a role in ensuring integrity – and how citizens can hold them accountable. The goal was not only to inform but also to inspire action.
Why This Project Matters for Kosovo
Kosovo, like many countries in the region, faces the ongoing challenge of strengthening public trust in institutions. Projects like NIS are critical because they provide both the tools and the framework for evaluating integrity and identifying weaknesses in governance systems.
By making the findings and recommendations more accessible through animation, we aimed to increase public engagement, encourage dialogue, and support civil society’s efforts to push for reforms.
Delivering More Than Just a Video
While our deliverable was a single animated video, the process involved much more:
- In-depth discussions with our client to align the script with project goals
- Visual design that reflects the identity and values of Transparency International
- A narrative structure that captures attention and motivates viewers to think critically
- Optimizing the final product for use across various platforms – from presentations to social media campaigns
